Clearly, we love cars. We love their capabilities, their ingenuity and their potential on road. But just because your car can go very fast, doesn’t mean it should. In fact, slow and sound driving is absolutely essential to the safety of everyone in and out of the car. And in the world of Magic Tank, safety definitely comes first!

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), speeding is one of the most prevalent factors contributing to traffic crashes. Speeding is a factor in 30% of all fatal crashes, killing an average of over 1,000 Americans every month. It’s also estimated to be $40 billion as a cost to society each year.

Also, according to Faces4, the severity of a crash increases with the speed of the vehicle at impact. So basically, the faster you’re going at the moment of a crash – the worse it will be. And by going too fast, the distance your car needs to properly stop in an emergency situation is extended. It’s easier to make quicker decisions the slower you are moving, and easier to avoid a ticket!

Ultimately, it’s very clear that the time you’ll save from driving faster, even just 10 mph faster than the speed limit, is only going to save you minutes getting to your destination. And in our opinion, those minutes are NOT worth the risk. So be mindful of speed limits and give yourself enough time to get where you’re going.
